I feel that I was destined to be an Interior Redesigner.
I recently found a paper I wrote in the sixth grade, “How
to Decorate for an Extrovert, versus an Introvert”. When I was
young, I would continually rearrange and move furniture around.
|
I had humble beginnings, mentored by
my late grandmother, Maria E. Huerta, and mother, Becky
Archuleta, who were both extremely creative. These women
taught me to decorate with practically nothing, creating
a beautiful home by simply reusing and repositioning
their existing furnishings.
I received a B.A.
degree in Education in 1977. I then pursued a Masters
Degree in Counseling. My passion for creativity resulted
in a degree in Interior Design in 1988. I was
the president of our design club in college and was part
of the International Society of Interior Designers of
Orange County, CA. I received the “Outstanding
Achievement for – The Fiesta, Merging of the Arts,
Pretty in Pink” vignette at the Bowers Museum in Santa
Ana, CA. I soon took on residential and commercial
design projects in Southern California, Oregon and
Idaho. I would continually find myself doing “interior
redesigns” although I did not know what it was called at
the time.
While my husband Dan and I were
living in Portland, Oregon, I discovered HGTV.
I really enjoyed “Decorating Cents” and couldn’t wait to
see the Interior Redesign segments. I would talk to the
TV and say, “I can do that...I should do that...I’m
going to do that someday.” Finally, I received
instruction through the “Home Rearrangements School of
Redesign” in Redwood City, California, with Donna
Reynolds and Kristine Moore. It was one of the
highlights of my life! I had finally found my niche, and
I had received the “desire” of my heart! I joined
I.R.I.S. that following
month, which I found to be the most professional
interior redesign organization in the industry.
Life long learning is one of my greatest passions. I continue to be trained and mentored by some very accomplished professionals such as Kathy Martin, Sanders Martin Consulting, Margi Kyle, The Designing Doctor and Executive Director of the We Make Color Easy Program, Dewey Sadka, The Dewey Color System, Donna Reynolds & Kristine Moore, Home Rearrangements, IRIS, Sandy Dixon, Interior Arrangements and Executive Director of IRIS and HGTVs Design on a Dime host, Lee Snidjers. Learning from these masters has truly been an honor and privilege in my life!
I am pleased to be the first
Certified Dewey Color Consultant (DCC) and Instructor (DCI)
for the State of Idaho! Being a Color
Consultant for over 20 years has been one of my most
rewarding passions. I have
excellent color memory. I am fascinated with how color
affects people. I especially enjoy helping clients “jump
in the water” as I guide them by selecting custom colors
for their style and décor to bring life as we “color
their homes.” I also love Public Speaking on anything to
do with Interior Redesigns and budget decorating. When I
let my creative juices flow, I am told my enthusiasm has
a tendency to motivate people to get out there and make
a change! My greatest joy is when I receive comments
from my clients who say I totally transformed their
homes, bringing joy, peace and harmony into their lives.
It is so rewarding to know that
I am able to do that — one home at a time!
“As the Team
Leader, the success of our business is as good as our
team players. We are successful and able to do all that
we do because I have such outstanding, talented and
dedicated team players. I greatly appreciate them all.
It is my privilege to introduce you to them.”

Chris is our all
around “technical person” that knows all about computers
and the technical side of things for us in our business.
He is the one that makes us shine in our

done right. When we don’t know what to do he is the one
that advises us on how to get it done with the desired
results. His attention to detail has been extremely

the transformations created in One Day! He is always
amazed at what we can do in making a difference in
people’s lives!
